Any Subby out there with a TBE would fail the smog test. , or a reflash for that matter if the tech knew it was altered.


The motor itself in the car is 100% smog legal.

Looks like i'm gonna drive the car/tune it and either bump the price and try another sale or stock it out.

Oh well.

FWIW, I just bought a used 2004 STi 2 weeks ago, the DMV/credit union did NOT require a smog, Arnold changed the smog laws a while back, just keep the stock exhuast for any emergency.

Good price bump.

Nah it wasnt stupid. It was information I was told priar to the 6 vehicles ive sold over the last few years. No need to get up tite and angry. Something else bothering you perhaps? None my business I guess.

Im done here mr. shady dealer. Verifying the smog crap was for my protection and assurance that I didn't but a vehicle so modified I couldn't even legally drive it. You sir, lost yourself a buyer.

Next time instead of being a smartass, thank your potential buyers for having interest in your vehicle.
