I'm about to leave work and go the gym, I'll get back to everyone later tonight and tally everything up for you around 10 or so.

Hey Gur,
I asked around on the Avic 411 forums and they said that there is no manufacturer's warranty unless you buy it from a pioneer authorized retailer.
So in worst case scenario we get the unit and it doesn't work or has some sort of defect, is your wholesaler considered a "authorized retailer" who can swap it out for us?
I am still in the group buy, I am just wondering so if god forbid something happens, I can be prepared

confirmed buyers in group
we have 4 confirmed buyers as of 10pm, 2 more and we can get our order in.
pm me your name and phone # if you would like to confirm yourself. or just ask any questions.
p.s. Mcgower notified me that paypal will charge a 2.9% surcharge per paypal payment, meaning it'll actually be $850 + $24.65 paypal surcharge = $875 per paypal payment if we go that route.
I would be ok with a personal check/cash/"USPS" money order (but only these 3) if you want to avoid the paypal surcharge, but will only allow you to pick up your unit after the check clears. Again, you would have to get it to me between when we place the order and when the delivery arrives or I will have to reject the delivery in order to avoid risking getting stuck with units from flakers, and then everyone would be pissed at you because no one would get their unit. Since I have to actually pay the COD myself, there is only so much risk I am willing to take on.
Each person can choose which method of payment they want, not everyone has to do paypal or check or whatever. but thats an over the phone conversation once you've confirmed that you're in.

update
looks like huck will be traveling to the UK over the weekend, and will return on tuesday, if we get the six beforehand we'll have to go on without him. otherwise we could put the order in on monday and he would be able to pay in time.
so tentatively, if we were to put an order in tomorrow, we'd need 3 more. or just 2 more if we make the order on monday.

new status
ok Huck is officially in, no matter what. that means there are 2 spots left on this group buy. we maybe able to do this tomorrow, and even get the units by sunday/monday, depending on UPS delivery policy.

Man, you would think that people would be jumping on this deal!
Only two more people guys!
Oh and rugmonkey, thanks for the trouble your taking to find out the whole defect policy, I appreciate it, since the last thing you want when buying a 1000 $ piece of equipment is for it to break and for you to not be able to return it

Rugmonkey, I'll tell you, if my motor didn't blow a couple of weeks ago and my tanny didn't go out a couple of weeks before that and if the motor didn't blow a few months before that, and if the motor didn't blow a few months before that, I'm not studdering, ect ect. I'd be all over this. If I get things hashed out in a few months and we can offer this again, I'm in.
