this thing just keeps growing

Almost up to six people on this order. Distributer should get their shipment in today, hopefully they can also send ours out today too. I'll keep everyone posted. We're shooting for everyone getting their units on Saturday; Monday at the latest if our order doesn't get shipped till tomorrow.

I am in the process uploading my ISOs at the moment

8GB each.

Will post back when they are up - in about 3 hours for the west disc.

Actually they are coming from my file server at home because thats where I took the ISOs. But it wouldn't be a problem at work. We have a 60Mbit connection, and I am the network administrator/sysadmin, so who can complain

I know, thats why I laughed. connection speed isnt the issue anymore right? its security. I kept my server running all day last week for my gf to download some music I got her, and when I got home I had hundreds of attempts of passwd guesses in my logs. Its just plain creepy. Not that I had any important data on there, and its probably someone just practicing for the hell of it, but its still creepy.

If you open up port 21 at work though, its definitely a risk, and hard to justify to the superiors.

update

they say that their delivery wont come in to the port till tonight, and that they should get it on their premises by the morning. they are fairly confident this is the case, I am very hopeful they are right, but will brace myself for disappointment. too bad, I was really hoping to get it on saturday and install this weekend, but looks like monday now. backorder is a b*tch.

$850 is not including paypal, If you would like to pay with paypal thats your own choice, but you have to pay your own paypal fees, I am not a vendor, and my paypal account is not set up like one. the only paypal payments I have ever received were from huck and mcowger who got their units last night.
you should be more dilligent while reading through this thread. I can get the rest of our order, here, in the bay area, if each person pays $850 per unit. there's no other shipping ect.. and paypal is ok if you want to pay your own fees, but local cash/money order at local pickup is best and cheapest for everyone. We got 2 units of our order so far, and have still 5 people waiting fro theirs on backorder, there's no longer a minimum order limit since we've surpassed it.

Hope we get our units soon...
But even if they get them tomorrow, it means the next business day will be Monday, so the soonest we will see them is Tuesday. I think Monday is getting your hopes up.
