Mechanic/Experience help needed.

Hi my favorite fellow helpful I-club car fanatic geniuses. I have a proposition to propose.

I need help install a boost gauge AND springs to lower my car.
Straight forward, if you have experience or know how to do either of the following please msg me or comment here. I have stuff that may interest you and definitely will top it off with some good cash you wont earn if you did at your boss shop. So please, pm me as I need these 2 items on my car before March.

Thank you!

I'd tread lightly on trying to get someone from a shop to do this off the clock. Support your local shops!

Offering a non shop person is a o.k. in my book but don't try to pull shop mechanics out like that.

Personally... I'd either do it with a knowledgeable friend over some beers or pay a shop to do it. It's really not that expensive. You're gonna need an alignment afterwords anyways and shops like ai can install and do the alignment all at once. Or take it to your local hot spot... gst, lic, db tuned, etc.

All of this is super simple. Just read up on some how-to writeups before going in and you'll be fine. Just get some pb blaster and borrow a spring compressor from autozone (free).

People on here is great! Unfortunately I am not very mechanic minded(?) and have attempted to read write ups on both and still could not figure even for the boost gauge which is spose be easy. I am more of the learn after being demonstrated how to in person type of guy and I also would love to learn side by side with the person helping me do it.

Anyways, I was quoted 280 for everything put on from my mechanic so I am hoping to pay atleast half that price and have some stuff to offer.
I have some very nice poeple right now thats willing to help just want to see whos more convienant and could do it for cheap. Please pm me! Thanks you

That actually sounds like fun and a bit chaotic. I really only have room for 4 cars at my shop though.

I had Tito do the same thing at my shop when I was changing a bunch of stuff on my car. He only took a few hrs to change his springs out and Im sure it was more satisfying for him because he did it himself.

You're a nice guy for allowing him to do that GJ.

Definitely worth doing yourself. Along side with buddies and working on a car some pretty good times can be had. And you learn! thanks again broski!
