Other then the timing belt parts, What else would be needed to make this work on a 04wrx?

lol you're a subaru tech aren't you?

Honestly the best thing you could do is swap shortblocks and build a hybrid motor. To run that motor complete you would need 08+ sensors, harness and have it spliced to yours, ECU because of the dual AVCS.

The price of the motor is worth it just for the short block, let alone the heads.

That's what I was thinking. Then flip the heads.

If someone wants it for a grand cash come get it, I need the engine stand back I just picked up 3 motors from the machine shop and with the 88 tires in bound have no floor or rack space!

Block's the same, couple of differences in the head/cam but would run on the car no problem with tuning!

In response to the general theme of the PM's, Sorry I am not willing to strip it and sell the block only. For $1000 it's pretty reasonable for the block on it's given it's in perfect condition. What someone does with the heads is entirely up to them.

Congrats. I was waiting on a reply from Mike and was thinking about picking it up on Monday. Good luck with the install. I haven't been able to find someone that's done it successfully yet.
