Here comes the JDM STi Ver6 Type RA DCCD TY754VB1EA Tranny w/matching Ver6 R180 4.44 Rear Diff and Upgraded STi Short Throw Shifter!

Comparison to UDSM box:
RA Gearset - Much stronger due to wider and stronger gears
Steel shift forks instead of Aluminum
DCCD capable - Allows you to modify power to front and rear of car
4.44 Final as opposed to 3.54 - Making acceleration insane!
R180 rear diff as opposed to R160 - Much stronger!

This tranny was refreshed with new synchros and 3rd gear when I purchased it 2k miles ago. It was built by the man who builds all the TurboXS dogboxes. No expense was spared in the rebuild as only JDM internals were used.

Does it come with all the DCCD controls and everything needed to hook it all up ?

No DCCD controls. Default w/65% power to the rear is wicked fun. Forget 50/50~! Mike @ Gruppe-s can source it for a couple hundred dollars.

 

Would I need a new driveshaft to meet up with the 4.44 ? Is the speedo gear setup to where it reads correct ?

Stock driveshaft is used, speedo reads exactly as its supposed to.

 

does this have a open diff in the front or is the front diff helical.

 

I believe this tranny has a Suretrack front LSD.

you only need to change rear axles, and hubs. Pickup a set of rear brembos online for about $300 and you're set. One wicked setup.
