Im gunna update it with this info, It did not fit my 99 legacy gt but it might fit your wrx or forester, or whatever you have. The backing thing was different and my friend said I would need a jdm clock spring to have it match up correctly. So if you can find one of those then you are set! But dont qoute me it might fit your car might not,

bump for a nga. steering wheel is in perfect condition for i helped him try to install it. was bummed when we found out it didnt fit because of the clock spring.
