Preston/Gary -

What is the install time there for the GT30R kit + injectors & FP? Probably not something I could wait for, I suspect.

If you installed it yoursel, it would take at least 2-3 days. It goes up to reg. price in 2 wks.

STiBoy - At least 2-3 days for install and 1 day for tuning.

Thanks
Preston

Preston/Gary -

I'm going to go ahead with the kit + injectors (haven't decided on the Ecutek yet). I figure I could stick with the AP, and have it tuned at Cobb Tuning.

Anyway, I'm waiting on my Buick GN to be put back together and running, so I have another car to drive while the STi is at your shop. It may be another two weeks before it's ready. I'll call and schedule an appointment for 2 or 3 weeks from now...

Terry - It would be a lot cheaper if you went with Ecutek since we already have the map for it. If you want to Cobb, they will have to spend at least 2-5 hrs tuning it. Just give us a call when you're ready to setup the appt

Thanks

Preston - in the previous post, you mention it'll take 1 day for tuning. Can you clarify?

It's only about 1-2 hrs of tuning since we already have a Ecutek map for the GT30 kit It would take 3-4 hrs if we didn't already have the map for it.
Thanks

Jake - Sorry, getting the GT30 or GT35 to fit on an APS up/downpipe would require custom fabrication
GT30R - $1199 shipped
GT35R - $1299 shipped

Thanks

Just curious, from a practical point of view how do you get extensive mods like this through the smog test? Just one peek under the hood or at the FMIC, and it is pretty obvious that the car isn't stock.

but when the time comes for smog check, and assuming u don't have friends in the smog check business to pass u, would u have to put everything back to stock in order to pass?
