My friend is selling his Prelude. Gunna just copy and paste his craigslist post which can be found here : 1997 Honda Prelude
I have a 1997 Honda Prelude for sale. It has just under 116k miles, and just had it repainted the stock color (San Marino Red) a few weeks ago. It has been color sanded and buffed and the finish looks like glass ($4000 paint job). I have a full sound system JL audio 6.5" w/ 1" tweets up front, JL audio 6x9 w/ 2-way tweets in the back, 2 - 10" alpine type r subwoofers in the trunk powered by a 1200watt Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D. Kenwood head unit. Big 3 charging cycle upgrade done in 0 gauge and 0 gauge ran to the sub amp. It is very cleanly installed (Everything looks as if it were stock aside from the sub box in the trunk, and the sub box is a perfect fit). I also have damplifier pro under the trunk hatch, on the rear deck and on the front door panels that got rid of any rattles due to the bass. Additionally, there are virtually no rattles when driving or listening to music. 5000k HID projector + CFL Halos, and 3000k HID foglights w/ interior switch (one of my fog light ballasts is burnt out, a quick $30 repair). The engine is completely stock aside from a CARB legal AEM V2 intake. Recently Plasti Dipped my stock rims black (but as you know about Plasti dip, it is 100% removable).
The only flaws about the car is that one of the foglights is out due to a burnt out HID ballast and the driver side door handle is slightly loose. The handle can be replaced for $63 (Part Detail) or I might just fix it myself (HOW TO: Fix Flappy door handle! - Honda Prelude Forum : Honda Prelude Forums) this weekend.
Also included with the sale are the original oem parts (headlights, intake, headunit (stereo reciever), the rear deck) but only upon request as they are located in Northern California right now and would take some time for me to get a hold of them.
Never had any engine problems with the engine, and I always performed regular maintenance and only used full synthetic oil. I am the third owner and bought the car with 88k miles. At 90k, I had the timing belt and water pump replaced, as well as had the valves adjusted and tuned. I have the service records of all the maintenance work done on the car. It has a CLEAN title and I will provide the VIN# upon request. Non-smoker, no pets. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so you can be sure that you will be getting a quality car that was taken great care of.
PRICE: $6900 obo (With the subs, amp, and 0 gauge wiring)
$6600 obo (without those, but I strongly recommend paying the extra $300 because they fit so perfectly and you are getting a great deal and could sell them for more if you chose to do so)
If you have any further questions feel free to email me or call/text me (text preferred) @ 831-595-5731
Thank you for your interest
