Yes, it's an insert that fits into your exhaust tip. It drastically reduces the noise level, which is good for street driving. I would just remove the silencer at the track.

I agree about the loss of power... however, +1 for being removable! It's so easy to drive with the silencer to the track, and then take it out in less than 2 minutes once you are there. And frankly, though there is a loss of power with the silencer in, it's really not a big deal for day to day commuting, etc.

But it only works on a HSK muffler right? Not sure what to get yet. I now it's gonna ahve Helix Up and Dpwn Pipes. But might go either HElix with silencer, Borla Hush, or HKS now (that I know you can have a silencer. Le t me know what model muffler it will fit?

Hi, as the subject line states, this silencer was made specifically for the HKS Hi-Power and HKS Carbon-Ti exhausts (it is installed in the tip of the muffler - it is black and very discrete looking).
