FS: Deadbolt Monster td04
I am selling a monster td04 turbo that is setup for use with an external wastegate. I bought the turbo from another member, who used it for less than 1k miles. I used it for 1/2 a day. Here are some pics.

Well, when I was installing it I noticed that the wastegate was welded shut, but didn't think too much about it, because I assumed that maybe that was the way Deadbolt does their turbos. However, after putting it on there and driving around a bit, I noticed that I wasn't bleeding any boost, so when I saw my boost gauge read 18psi (I was running a Cobb off-the-shelf stage 2 map) and I never hit more than 16psi, I started to ask questions. I found out that it was indeed an external wastegate setup, and I swapped it out for my stock one. So, there you have it.

No, it was not because my car was not tuned for it. If it had been, yea, I'm sure it would have been a blast. I've heard of some guys being able to hit 18psi by 2200rpm's when tuned correctly, and putting down 250wtq by 2200rpms must be awesome. Anyways, I wanted to add that I have a perrin uppipe that I will include for a nominal fee, so that you can just weld an external wastegate on before installing everything, so you can minimize the downtime. Let me know if you're interested, thanks!

Bump! I have a Perrin uppipe that I will include for a little more so that you can have an external wastegate welded on without having to take out your current one, minimzing downtime.
