The only reason I'm selling this is to fund a bigger project which ultimately will make more power then this turbo is capable of.

I have the DOM 3XTR 8cm 2.5 inlet and love it. Power comes on early and holds late. Im on the corn though.

although alot of the supra guys run precission setups, we hate precision turbo's. they dont last very long and the quality its **** imo. i personally think youre better off going garret/borgewarner/ or dom3. just a thought.

heres some quotes from supraforums about precision.

"Our PT78 lasted 90 miles, leaking oil seal between the cartridge and turbinehousing. Almost lost 0.1 quarts of oil because of it, alot of smoke from the exhaust when i put it back in the garage.

A friend of mine had the exact same problem with his PT67, but he drove about 900 miles before it got bad. Dont trust Precision as much as before this happend."

"I have seen PTE turbos fail out of the box."

"Anyone else had a problem out of a precision turbo not lasting anytime at all. I purchased a precision pt-61 journal bearing turbo last year. After about 6 months on my 1g it let go on me so i sent it to precision to have it repaired as it was still in warranty. While is was being rebuilt i was swapping my 2jz into my 87 and installed this rebuilt turbo on my new swap. Now about 4,000 miles later it's about to let go again. It has a ton of shaft play and is beginning to smoke. I have a -4 feed line with a -8 return line. Im only running 15 psi right now and it hasn't seen any more boost than that since it's rebuild. I emailed Dan at Batlground about because i purchased it though him. I hope they rebuild this thing, this is getting ridiculous. "

although this guy ^ should be running atleast a -10 return and a -2 feed but hey, his choice. lol

it goes on and on. theres thread after thread bashing on the company. theyre good for street use but i dont think ive ever seen a track or drag supra using one of these. i was running a 6766 on my car and it was great with the quickspool that was set up with it, but without it, powerband sucked and turbo was starting to have shaft play after 4000 miles.

Interesting. Thanks for the info yo! I'll do some more research before I purchase a snail. Luckily with a rotated set up you have many options for turbos! .
