It has nothing to do with the quality of the car...its because of insurance AND loans. Im not going to say anything because my intention was not to ruin his sale. I definitely wish him luck and I hope he gets what he is asking. I am sure his car is amazing.

Thanks football and marcinzk for the kind words. You can always insure it with most places. I've had it with 21st and AAA. As far as a loan goes...you could always go with a personal loan

only problem with with a salvage title and insurance is that alot of insurers dont want to offer comprehensive on them, liability is no problem and no more expensive, but many insurers dont even offer comp coverage on cars 10+ years old anyways regardless of title so unless you were dead set on getting specialty insurance its a bit of a moot point. Same goes for used car loans, many loaners are reluctant to give loans on 10+ year old cars unless they book for much higher than an impreza would regardless of title. best bet would just get a personal loan, if you have decent enough credit 9K wouldnt be a prob

Damn that is a deal! $9k for an ej20 swapped RS?! I've seen n/a RS go for 10+ from the stealership. I remember my insurance company gave me 9k for my 1999 impreza L when it got totalled :RockOn - not mine:
