and reason of the asking price is to me thats what i think is a fair price for all the parts and for the building process of the car seems like a good deal... plus im not dying or in need to sell like the one guy stated above if the right buyer comes along great if not no biggie... i am just in the market for a luxury sport saloon i guess you could say, so spread the word!

just saying as an ex audi owner well current it sits in my parents garage in pieces, they all pretty much handle like crap, and cost of maintenance is insane. then once you get into the newer audi's like b6,b7,b8 you need to worry a lot more about the carbon build up in the motors, which needs to be cleaned out or you will run into lots of problems. basically i hope you have a good amount of money saved up for those "just in case" moments. and only buy oem when it comes to replacing a oem part unless you are modding then only buy from a well known shop/ not cheap china made crap. just a heads up.

thanks corpse good looking out... i'm just wanting something that's a little more forgiving for DD use something with tiptronic shifting so i can drive spiritedly and the wife can drive it as an automatic if needed... any suggestions?

well maybe an audi will be ok, just take care of it do ALL the maint. on time, my b5 S4 was a fun car and i still have friends who daily them. the biggest problem with a audi tiptronic trans is that they have realllllly junky torque converters which fail and result in a 1k trans rebuild. if you pick up a used one check the axles/ cv boots, and get the trans fluid flushed/ change the filter.
if you do pick up a audi check those things but pick up a b6 model or newer.
i bought my 05 wrx wagon for daily use, its auto so the gf can drive it as well. but it over all handles wayyyyyyyyyyyy better then the s4, not as fast but the handling makes up for it.

Bump to the top! Another friend suggested this... someone could get the car with a car loan to buy the car itself and then just pay cash for the parts... just an idea...

it would still be the same loan for the car and cash for ALL the parts no picking and choosing... plus parting out takes too much time and then having to get the car re aligned thats just more money i do not want to spend... i would much rather have someone who wants to build off of this platform which is really just injectors, turbo and a good tune and they would be right up there with the big boy numbers. plus im not in a hurry to sell to the point where i'll part out... i do want my new vehicle but at the same time its not worth me taking a big hit on my car. i still enjoy driving her just not practical for two kids, a wife and a dog lol
