FS: 2004 PSM WRX Sedan (needs engine work) - 125k miles - $7,000obo
so short story, my headgasket is on its way out (frothy coolant, consuming oil like crazy) and faced with a repair bill, i find myself wanting to sell the car instead of repair...ive put enough money into it, and having just replaced the transmission recently, and starting back into school, i cant afford a big repair bill...
car is a 2004 wrx sedan, psm, black leather interior, im the 2nd owner, car has 125xxx miles, i bought it with 61k (original owner purchased from stevens creek subaru)...ive been on date with maintence (60-90-120 and oil, etc)
car has never been tracked, i do not abuse my car, most of the miles are commuting between santa cruz and the bay area on highways 17/880/92/280
MODS
blitz TT (came with car when i bought it)
-i've installed-
Perrin IC hoses
Koyo alum radiator
custom CBE (car has never had a DP or been tuned, i do have the stock exhaust)
rebuilt transmission with 2009 wrx internals (gears, synchros, etc) built by paul@dbtuned, has about 15k on it
exedy oem replacement clutch/flywheel
Group N motor/trans mounts
BC br coilovers
ver 8 sti front LCA
cusco rear sway/perrin endlinks
stoptech replacement slotted rotors f/r
axxis pads f/r
black painted headlights/fog light covers
badgeless grill
badgeless, wingless trunk
tints
stock wheels are painted - falken fk452 205/55/16 (less than 5k miles)
BAD THINGS
front bumper is pretty messed up, one side is ziptied at the bumper/fender
suspected bad headgasket, motor consumes a qt of oil in less than 2,000 miles. just noticed the frothy coolant two days ago, oil has been running low since 100k or so
PICS
im pretty sure ive covered everything except for price, because i am unsure of the worth of this vehicle
ive seen simliar cars (2004 wrx with 100k+ miles) for around 10k, and figure with the bad motor, but the new transmission, it should be worth 8k at the most, so im putting it at 7,000 OBO, not firm with price
im open to offers as i start classes Feb 7 so id like to sell this and get a different car or a motorcycle
come by test drive it, look at it, ask any questions, offers please call or text me
i havent put it on craigslist yet as it would be nice to sell it to another subaru enthusiast
