Hate to say it guys but as long as there IS a muffler somewhere (Not sure about the turbo being considered a muffler), or at least a resonator/glasspack, and you are UNDER the 95dB limit, you're golden. Oh, and you also have to make sure that the exhaust is AFTER the cat, otherwise you're getting into SMOG/CARB territory.
There's nothing illegal about modifying your exhaust as long as you HAVE a muffler and it's under 95dB (there is a special way to measure it...CHP is the referee for it).
