EDIT: SOLD! - Italian Scooter/Moped Lovers
I-Club gets first crack at everything I sell , except for that no paying , cheating scumbucket from MD , Jia Chen (search that bozo and see what you get!)
I have for sale the follwing:
1973 Vespa Ciao Bravo Deluxe Moped color Orange , with metal gas tank and all badging
Intimately restored using O.E. Italin parts from the Moped Super Shop in San Diego.
The tires are not the original Pirelli But are the brand currently used on production mopeds in Italy also sourced by the M.P.S.S.
This is the Bravo Deluxe which includes two little Saddle Side Boxes one of which includes a battery which powers the fully functional and new (o.e. replacement )turn signals! This was a rareity in 73/74 and is definitely a hard find especialy working and in tact. The Bravo D also came with a trick hidden front suspension and rear seat springs.Everything from the rubber ends on the cables to the hook under the handlebars for hanging groceries was replaced or re-conditioned, and yes , the little black box under the package rack has the original tool kit and measuring cup for oil!
The motor is a 50cc 2 stroke that starts on demand and runs like a top. A rebuild kit is available from Piaggio/Vespa which ups the speed and eliminates the occasional drip of unburned mixture after it has been running(seems only the Japanese could make things that didn't leak back then!)Scooterfiles who have been to the old country can close their eyes , take a deep breath through the nostrils and be taken back to the streets of Milano! No motorcycle liscence or registration is needed and no helmet either , great for those DUI people who want to still go to a job and do it in style.
Top Speed is 24 to 26 mph (US MPH gauge) and here's the best part... the odometer only reads 97 miles(once a week I give her a work out)! It had 64 when I bought it. It was purchased new in 74' from Jim & Jim's yamah by an italian gentleman in cloverdale , ridden for 64 miles and tucked into the garage to rust and decay until the lineman got it!
As ugly as she looked , I put fuel in her and she ran strong!
Gas a little expensive for you? try 150 MPG , park the Suby and tool around the campus or town on this saying "Ciao!" to everyone!Save that high test for the twisties.
I am asking $750.00 firm. Collectors will know its worth more.
I can not deliver or ship , it would have to be picked up so consider that since I know you all want it.Huck has seen it and could testify to its beauty since I don't have a digi cam anymore. It is a little jewel.
PM or email me at cohlineman@vbbn.com if this makes you curious or know a collector. See you all at Mt. Hameh!

Grazie!
I will try the chronicle as I am sure the euro city slickers utilize these on a daily basis.
