EDIT: SOLD! - 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX :: Sonic Yellow :: Clean mods! :: $18k
Up for sale is my 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX 5-speed in Sonic Yellow.
Why I'm selling: Want to get an '05 Forester XT -- more conducive to hauling my family around.
Price: I am listing this for $18,000 firm. (Approximate Kelley Private Party Value if stock: $19,600.) I don't like haggling and bouncing numbers back and forth, so I am setting this price for a quick sale. If I don't get it, I'll likely just end up keeping it.
History/Condition: Purchased in February 2003, and I'm about to reach 23,000 miles on the odometer, 90% commute. No accidents, very very clean. Runs perfect. Never raced or tracked or offroaded. Engine is stock, never reprogrammed/replaced ECU. Self-maintained, with oil/filter changes at 3817, 8582 (Mobil1), 12358 (Mobil1), 17011 (Mobil1). I will do another oil change this month, or I might just have the 30000 mile service performed early to make it more "sellable."
Modifications/Upgrades: Tastefully modded with the following:
Prodrive Sport Muffler
Prodrive Springs
OZ Racing 18x8 Superleggera Wheels (very slight scrapage on lip of 2 wheels)
Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position 225/40-18 Tires (40% tread left)
Subaru STi EDM Headlights
"Jag" Style Tail Lights
Tinted Windows (35% Front, 20% Rear)
Subaru STi Shift Trim
Autometer Boost Gauge
MOMO Air Leather Shift **** & Boot
Alpine CDA-7998 Head Unit
Alpine MRV-F340 Amplifier
Alpine MRV-T320 Amplifier
JL Audio XR650-CSi Component Speakers
Polk Audio DX10 Subwoofer
Roof-mounted antenna
RAAMmat sound dampening liner in roof and front doors
LoJack System
Value of these mods are easily $4-5k if new.
Caveat: The car is currently financed. I am not going to pay off the loan until I am sure I have a buyer and have received a deposit from the buyer. After that happens, it will be a week before I receive the title. So the transaction cannot be completed until about a week after me and the buyer agree on the sale.
Alternatively, the buyer can take delivery immediately at time of sales agreement *if* s/he is willing to wait a week or so for the title to arrive. From the buyer's perspective, this does sound like a risk, but there *are* certain procedures we can go through to protect our respective interests. It's a bigger hassle though.
Photos: (Note: O.E. Tuning front lip shown in this photo is not included. It was JUNK!)
Contact: Best to email me at dave@structive.com. But I will try to check this thread (and my PMs) regularly.

Just a friendly piece of advice...make sure you really check out the FXT first. It's NO bigger in the passenger compartment.
We just had a child, and were about to trade in our WRX Wagon for the FXT to make more room for kid stuff and the car seat, etc. But (since it's built on the same chassis) it's almost identical inside.
Good luck...sweet car.

GR8-WRX and mexicanpizza, thanks for the advice. I did check out the FXT (in fact this would be our second Forester, we just sold our '99 model last year), and you're right about interior dimensions -- it's still Impreza-based, after all. My main concerns with the Rex are that the lower ride height (esp. with the Prodrive springs) make loading my baby in and out kind of a b!tch (but great for handling! LOL), and ease of cargo access. I'm much more of a motorcycle enthusiast (I hardly qualify as a car enthusiast ), so being able to access and load/unload all my crap on motorcycle trackdays is another factor.

I was amazed by the number of responses I got on Craigslist. I kinda wish I had set the price higher! Now I just gotta figger out how to scrape up enough cash to pay off the loan so I can get the title from Chase Financial -- credit card cash advance limit was not as big as I had thought! LOL.
