Downpipe Question

I've bought myself a downpipe off craigslist a while back for my 03 wrx wagon. The DP has no marks, or brand names on it. When I finally gotten around to put it on, it didn't fit right. Its about a inch longer than OEM and pushing on the exhaust back, contacting the rear bumper. I assume it might be for '08-'14. Does anyone ran into same mess i'm in or know what is the difference between 02-07 and 08-14 downpipes

Possibly JDM length? Can't remember if JDM is longer or shorter. I don't even know if 08+ would fit at all.

Back around 2008 I purchased a downpipe off eBay for like $70 and had this exact problem. As posted above JDM is shorter, knock off ebay pipes are the only ones I've heard of or experienced being too long. Melted some bumper, ended up having to buy a bumper and a downpipe. This was all for an 03 wrx at the time. Good luck

sell it and get another one or take it to shop and have them cut and re-weld it to correct size..

Yeah I think jdm has different catback so why go thru that trouble. Get rid of it on cl or ebay and buy a decent dp. You should be getting tuned as well or you are just increasing your noise for the most part!

And yes, JDM downpipes are ~4" shorter than USDM. About $75-100 between flanges and weld time will solve this problem, though seems the OP just has an eBay pipe or the like.

Yeah, I'll just get rid of it. I feel kinda bad if I'll sell it to someone, knowing it won't work for the others either.
