Exclamation Custom EWG UP/DP Setup! Merges back into exhaust..... check it

SOLD!!!!

To fill a need for an EWG uppipe setup that does not dump straight under the car (excessive noise, etc), my company made a few of these setups. I have this final one, which is mine, left. It was going to go on my car but, frankly, I'm broke so it's up for sale now

I would have been thermal barrier coating everything for my car, but I'm putting it up for sale uncoated as in the pics and we're offering our Crucial metallic ceramic thermal barrier coating as an option... this way the buyer has a choice.

So, what we have here is:

GrimmSpeed EWG Uppipe
Turbonetics Evolution External Wastegate (comparable to Tial 38mm but with better exhaust flow)
HKS Downpipe (full length, catless)
Custom fabrication work to smoothly merge dump tube back into exhaust, including high quality Vibrant turbo flex section.

FITS 2002-2007 WRX, STI, SAAB 9-2X, FORESTER XT

Price: $800. Or, with Crucial thermal barrier coating on downpipe & uppipe, $950.

Shipping: TBD based on your address. Exact FedEx Ground/Home (or other method if you prefer) cost is all I will charge. We're in San Francisco, CA and I'd expect it to be about $45 to ship to the East Coast. Less, down to about $20 on the West Coast, as you get closer.

I-Club Mods: Yes, normally my company sells this sort of stuff and no, we're not a vendor here. I'm posting this here because this is my personal exhaust setup for my car and I've decided to sell it instead of use it. I removed the parts of this post that referred to selling other products like how we posted it on the forums where we have a vendor account. I hope this is acceptable.

Dude. I have been waiting for a company to make this. I am assuming this is for a legacy?

Does it come with the internal wastegate bracket and block-off plate?

No no, for a 2002-2007 WRX or STI.

The way I have my 98 LGT set up w/ the 02 WRX engine in there is that it fits the 2002-2007 style downpipes correctly....

Forgot to mention about the bracket! This does NOT include a bracket to hold your stock IWG shut. That's because I don't know what turbo you have. You'll have to purchase or make your own. GrimmSpeed sells them for a lot of common turbos and there are others out there as well. Additionally, if you wanted us to P&P&C your turbocharger we can weld the wastegate shut. I sort of prefer the bracket option though since it's removable...

edit: but what's a block off plate? All you should need is something to hold the arm of the wastegate flapper solidly so the wastegate flapper stays shut. That'll turn your internally gated turbo into an externally gated turbo with the up/dp/ewg I have for sale.

Sorry I didn't explain. The block-off plates cover up the location of the external wastegate and also (in this case) blocks off the pipe that goes into the down pipe.

This would allow you to go back to internal wastegate if you so wanted.

This would be somthing easy to make I guess.

Bump for you, this is a rare thing to find for sale. If I was not saving for a honeymoon, I would jump on this.

Good luck

Oh, gotcha. Nope, no block off plates. If you go back to IWG I suggest getting a new downpipe anyway. The HKS one isn't a good design for IWG, but it's a great design for EWG.

If you wanted to do a blockoff flange for the uppipe, they're available and they're pretty cheap. For instance, we carry THIS ONE from Vibrant.

A lot of people do end up going back to IWG from EWG, but it's always because of the noise. There shouldn't be a desire to switch back with this setup. Most likely, I think if you were doing that you're probably in the process of returning your car to stock anyway and you'll probably be wanting to sell this setup as a complete unit...

I am suprized at the lack of interest in this. EWG is awesome for those big turbos.

you wont have boost creep when running an external setup. Thats the main advantages of running them...is boost control.
