Computer for sale -- SOLD!!!!!!
Hey guys
I have all these spare parts laying around, and I can basically put them all together to build a whole new computer. The one thing I don't have for it is a hard drive.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Specs:
Intel 2.4ghz cpu (not hyper-threading)
Mother board with 5 pci and 1 8x agp (I don't know what model.. i can find out later)
512 mb generic RAM
nVidia Geforce2 mx200 32MB graphics card
48x CD-rom
Comes in a mid-tower case that has a 2 USB ports mounted in one of the CD bays (ill post pictures later) and has 2 USB ports on the side of the case, and a 80mm case fan mounted in the back.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's basically it. If someone would be interested in this computer I can go out and get a 40GB hard drive or something.. and install it. (or if you have your own hard drive, i can do that too- same thing)
I also have laying around is a SBLive! 5.1 channel sound card, a 3-port firewire card, and powered speakers. I can throw in the sound card for an extra $20, the firewire for an extra $10, and the speakers for an extra $10.
Once a hard drive is installed I can put a copy of Windows XP Pro (with all of the latest windows updates) and i'll also install all of the latest drviers for the video card and mother baord, (or sound card/firewire).
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prices:
1. The Computer with a 40GB hard drive --- $275 (add $20 for sound card, and/or $10 for firewire, $10 for speakers)
2. The Computer with a hard drive that YOU supply --- $245 (add $20 for sound card, and/or $10 for firewire, $10 for speakers)
3. The computer in it's current condition (which is right now in pieces laying on the floor) i'll sell it for $200 (add $20 for sound card, and/or $10 for firewire, $10 for speakers)
This does NOT include a monitor/mouse/keyboard.
If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM or e-mail me and i'll get on it pronto
Shoot me some realistic offers as well.
Thanks for lookin!
- John

Okay i just put the parts in and shot some quick pics. Later tonight i'll boot it w/o a hard drive and see what the memory speed/fsb is.
If any one is interested, i can find some of those 5.25" bay covers also, unless you want those holes - and ill put the cd drive on the top bay like "normal" computers have them lol.
FYI- this computer used to run Debian GNU/Linux and has a record uptime of approx. 80 Days
Thanks for looking

Okay i found out some information.
The FSB is capable of 400mhz
I found out the stick of RAM in there is a generic DDR 256MB. I have a crucial DDR 256MB that i'll throw in with it to make it 512mb ddr.
I'm pretty sure that they both are pc2100 which is 133mhz bus speed - but rated at 266mhz (133 x 2 = 266 -- the speed doubles once it reaches the CPU)
