Posting this for a friend. The car is in Oakland. As I get more info I'll update the thread.

The car was in a front end collision but has been professionally repaired. The front end was swapped with an '05 STi.

The car runs but needs to be finished. It has an exhaust leak and a bunch of other little issues.

Title is in hand. If you are interested and want to see the car it is located at Bay Bridge Motors in Oakland.

What kind of other issues are there? Im curious why you guys dont fix it up and sell it?

 

It's not my project so I have no interest in it.

The shop that was doing it focus on Mini's and BMW's so this isn't their area of expertise and they are no longer interested in it. At this point it's just taking up space.

You are free to go inspect the car to make your own assumptions and make an offer if you are so inclined.

 

I came to bay bridge motors to check out the car but they were closed. Do you happen to have your friends phone number or any other contact info? I live in San Jose and I am very interested.

 

i ran the vin, and it is clear. it does show an accident indicator with 1st owner and was inspected at a collision facility on 1/06/2004

I actually came on Saturday. They usually don't work Saturdays but workers just come in to work on thier own projects. I called them to let them know I would be there around 2:30. The guy on the phone told me he would be there till 3 the latest. I got there at 2:45 but there was no one there. An hour drive wasted. Could you please give me more contact info of the owner of the car?

I am not bashing on Bay Bridge Motors. The guy on the phone was extremely nice. No one was obligated to wait for me and I understand that.

 

Ah, bummer. That's a long drive for nothing.

I'm taking the title over in the morning so it will be there. I'll speak to the owner about the car. If you like you can meet me there but I will be going early.

 

I wish I could but unfortunately I have class tomorrow morning. If you could ask him if there is any way how I could check out the car later in the day that would be great.

 

Darn it! Oh well.
