TBH, unless you're practically giving a shell/parts car away for next-to-nothing, trying to sell a very old vehicle that won't drive, for $1000 is probably the problem. You might want to toss the investment cash into fixing that transmission problem and then selling it for more than $1000 to recoup losses (and probably sell a lot faster.) Just my 2c anyway.
