02-07 WRX STi Custom Catback with Black Twin Tip Muffler
Sold!
I am selling a custom catback that was removed from my 2002 WRX. It features a Vibrant Performance Streetpower flat black muffler with twin tips welded to a Tsudo catback.
Sold! Send me a PM if interested.
I live in Union City and work in San Leandro. The buyer can pick up at either location. Or I can meet you somewhere in between if you are serious.
Here are more details:
The muffler: Vibrant Performance
I had a muffler shop cut the Tsudo N1 muffler off the axleback portion and custom bend pipe to connect it to the Vibrant muffler. The bends are not mandrel, but that never bothered me. I reused the midpipe from the Tsudo.
It is very stealth in terms of looks. It is "medium" in terms of noise, not as loud as an N1 system, but not as mellow as a Borla Hush. It does sound great at WOT. I had it on my car for about two years and never got pulled over just for the exhaust. It's barely visible at night since the muffler is flat black.
The exhaust is in good condition. There are no dents, only a tiny ding on the resonator of the midpipe and few minor scratches here and there. Included are brand new nuts and bolts. But you will need to get new gaskets. It connects to a 3" aftermarket downpipe.
Let me know if you have questions or want to see a picture of it when it was installed on my car.

The Vibrant muffler is a straight pass-through. Before it was installed by the muffler shop, you could look in one end and see through to the other side. I believe the SPT uses a baffled muffler, hence it is quieter.
Also, my catback attaches to a 3" downpipe. I believe the SPT catback attaches to a factory style 2.5" downpipe.
Edit: The axleback and midpipe are on the stock exhaust hangers. These pictures were taken shortly after I came back from the muffler shop.

But I took it off to try a different catback. Exhausts are like wheels in our community, we buy them, use them, and sell them to try something else.
