new to the import scene

i just bought my 1st import, a 2004 subaru wrx sti. I must say im impressed, i still own my 94 z28 but the handling on this import is amazing. The car came with an after market down pipe, and the owner said the computer had been tuned to a stage 2 something. i did all the modifications on my camaro and it was never this complicated, the previous owner said that pretty much what ever mods i throw into the engine the computer will have to be re-tuned each time, is this true??? i wanted to put some after market headers and a full exhaust system for starters, would this compliment the aftermarket downpipe??? One more thing i only get like 200 miles to a full tank, is this normal, i baby her but get on it once in awhile??? Guys thanks for your insite, like i said im new to the import world, so far it seems pretty complicated, later.

Welcome yah you'd have to get retuned for headers.

Check out the Hawaii Section of this forum helpful guys over there. They can point you in the right direction.

Not really complicated just gotta do more reading and you should be good to go.

Heres some decent reading.
