Brand new Subie owner from Grass Valley checks In!!!

Hi everyone, I just *really* committed to these great cars, trading my old '95 Outback that ran perfect for a brand new '08 Outback at Gold Rush Subaru, Auburn, California in a color I liked.

I saw an '08 LLBean wagon in this color scheme, in Nov. '07 at the San Francisco International Auto Show, and loved the looks a LOT then. But had NO idea I would be buying one like it in a few more months.

2008 Subaru Outback, Newport Blue Pearl/Quartz Silver Metallic

First new car I ever bought for MYSELF. March 6, 2008

Gold Rush Subaru, Auburn, California did the deal. They sell a lot of them around here, because of the snow in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. That is why I bought it, because of the snow.
No freaking way a lowered 560SEC can get through the snow like one of these.

I traded in the old 1995 Subaru Outback that is seen behind the new car.
This was the first time I ever traded in a car. It is so easy, but you get the wholesale price.
It was a good car with 123k, on it, I detailed it out first. They said they will sell it on their used car lot, as there is a high demand for really nice used older ones.

I like it more and more every day!! (It has been 5 days now!!)

I keep hearing more and more great things about these cars, they are supposed to last forever.

I came here because the Subie salesman that sold me the car, has an sti and is an enthusiast himself and recommended this site

I am a Moderator at a Mercedes Benz forum, my other ride is a 1991 Mercedes Benz 560SEC coupe that I bought a few years old from a Mercedes Dealer near Disneyland. The prior owner of the car had owned the Beverly Hills Hotel!!!

This is my *other* car, '91 Mercedes 560SEC (Pearl black one)

It's for when I want to go really fast. On a trip after midnight in November from Stockton to Los Angeles, it went 120-140 mph the WHOLE WAY on I-5, these are designed to cruise at top speed.

I bought it at a Mercedes dealer near Disneyland when it was a few years old.
Couldn't buy a new one, as they were the flagship, and cost over $85,000 back in '91

A couple of months ago the new Remus exhaust was installed, that gave it 2 extra hp at the rear (dyno tested)

I hope to learn more about the hot Subies too, ESPECIALLY the WRX sti models.

The salesman (Wade) and one of the techs (Tony) at the Auburn Subaru dealer have them and they are supposed to be hella fast - can eat EVo 8 ones for lunch.

It's nice when the sales knows what he is talking about and is personally a fan of the cars your buying. You get a lot more useful information and what I would assume be a lot more honesty. Subaru people know subaru people. congraulations on the car. Take good care of her.
