(Another) new Nor Cal driver
Hi everyone, did a lot of research and test drives, finally own my first Subaru as of a week ago.
2005 Forester 2.5xt limited w/5spd MT It's in great shape with low miles, and is bone stock, so I have a feeling it was not driven hard with it's prior owner.
(tried adding pic's to the garage section, failed uploads, could be my work network limits bandwidth, will try at home later)
White paint, black leather interior, first things first, it needs window tint (not limo, just a little shade), shifter/bushing upgrade as well as airflow in/out and tune are on schedule, although I plan on keeping this thing as a silent killer, so no excessive exhaust notes are planned.
Already met with a few people in Sacramento last week, definitely like the vibe more then my last car owner group.

Aw snap forgot that didn't I.
It's coming up on 90K. The dealer I got it from did an oil change at 88K, while I didn't want to have to do the 90K in a few months, I am glad it gives me a prime opportunity to learn the quirks of the car, do my research, and get very well acquainted with the driveline. I always wrench on my cars, but have never touched a Subaru yet so I'm reading up.
This forum and a few others were helpful in my research that led me to this car.

Congrats and welcome to I-club from a fellow fxt owner. The aspen white limited 5mt is one of the rarest one to find. Post photos when you get a chance.
Enjoy and happy modding!

Just a few pics from the day I got it attached.
I set out thinking I wanted an impreza, then outback, finally found the size of the forester to be right. (my criteria were turbo, manual tranny, and low miles), didn't know they were so rare!
This is the second Forester 2.5xt that we drove, the first had oddities and was maroon.
I'm pretty new to Davis but grew up 20 minutes away so this is still my home area, I'm definitely down for a Yolo meet up.

Gracias.
So far I've only replaced 6 burned out bulbs, new battery, replaced both key fobs, and removed the dealership plate frames.
Was going to replace the head unit this weekend but just realized I'd lose my factory sub, so need to rethink that and do my research first.
Will give her a good bath this weekend and will get some better pics
