FS: RCE Tarmac 2 Coilovers + GTWORX camber plates for 02-07WRX, 04 STi
I have for sale a set of Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 2 coilovers. These are absolutely brand new, and uninstalled. All tags are still attached. These are RCE’s tuned versions of the KW V3 coilovers. These units are for the 5x100 bolt pattern, which means 02-07 WRX and 04 STi Impreza’s.
The Tarmac 2 coilovers boast stainless steel construction, which means long-lasting rust free operation. They have been set up with the optional softer 400F/350R linear springs, which Miles assures me, will provide a ride quality similar to a Porsche 997 GT3, so these will definitely be liveable for those who daily drive their cars, and don’t want to get too beaten up. The Tarmac 2 coilovers also feature composite locking perches with safety perches added for secure adjustment. The front dampers feature piggyback reservoirs. They are supported by RCE in the US, so no need to send them very far for rebuilds and service.
Also included are the RCE/GTWORX camber plates, allowing for quick installation and camber adjustment. They are lightweight, and utilize the same pillowball bearing utilized in Racecomp Engineering’s camber plates, which as owners will tell you, are offer smooth, long-lasting, and quite operation. The bearings are rated at 37,000 lbs. for radial, and 7730 lbs. for axial force. The hardware included with the camber plates is zinc coated stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
These camber adjustment pillowball mounts feature a low stack height, which means that at most camber settings, they will not increase your ride height. This feature also equates to more bump travel when compared to most other camber plates currently available, which actually raise the car. The camber plates have +0.8 degrees of caster built in, thus, minimizing dynamic camber loss while turning.
I will be including the colour manual and adjustment wrenches for the coilovers, so everything you need to get these installed and running. I had RCE pre-install the camber plates onto the coilovers also, to speed up the installation process.
These coilovers retail for $2275, while the camber plates retail for $360 for each end ($720 total)... making for a total of $2995 (plus shipping) from RCE. So essentially, you will receive free shipping and a free set of GTWORX front or rear camber plates.
I have 3200.00 into this setup by the time it arrived at my door, and will let everything go for 2550 shipped.
I’m selling these because I have decided to retain a more stock-based suspension system on the car.
PayPal is acceptable, but you have to add their 3% lunch fee.
If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to send me a private message
