Why is there Propulsion and RS Motor. Are you guys two different shops or what?
I called Ron about stting up a dyno run and he sounded inexperienced with vehicles. Meaning if you own/work at a tuner shop, you need to know about vehicles types. He may know about certain makes and models that he's work on but it didn't sound like he knew much after that. I told him what I have and he scratched his head for a bit. I decided not to do my dyno's runs there if he's unfimiliar my vehicle. Too risky.

yes we are two different shops working together but separate. rs motors does all the mechanical work, installation and the dyno is thiers. We at Propulshun only sell parts and that is the full extent of what we do and control. Which vehicle do you have that he was unfamiliar with? What are you worried about that can happen on a dyno doing a pull? if there is tuning involved i would understand, but putting a car on a dyno for a pull is the same procedure for 98% of all cars.

I'm sure with more talking things would work out better but a first impression is what decides if a costumer returns or not.
I know they tune cars and I have a truck, not in his field of work. But it's only a dyno pull as you said, no biggy, strap down and go.
Summarizing it all down. I only wanted a few pulls just to see where I'm at. Ofcourse their awd dyno has a max of 126" base from center of barrel to the other. My tundra has 128" wb. He wasn't sure if they'd be able to dyno my truck because my tundra's wheelbase is longer than their dyno can extend. My truck doesn't have awd, why does my truck need to fit between the barrels. As a matter of fact, most trucks (4wd trucks included) operate in 2wd in normal driving. I can dyno in 2wd, but by then the first couple of conversation has already pointed to lack of fimiliarity with the dyno's ability and vehicle variety. Ofcourse by the end of the conversation he acknowledges it can be done. He told me he had an opening the following week but wanted me to call back in 4days to see if no one else wanted those days. What!!! I called first and he wants to set up others first and for me to check back for an opening. Didn't sound like he wanted my business. I guess someone else is paying more for tuning and stuff and a dyno run isn't worth his time. That's the impression I got. I actually almost called back on the 4th day but a 6th sense smack the back of my head and said " don't be stupid" .

Another thing is they quotes a different price for different people. If they think you know little about cars or tuning they charge you more and less if you look and sound more like a motorhead. I had friends ask for quotes and were given different prices. What's up with that. Let's see here, $60 from one guy. $65 from another, $75 for me, Looks like they/he has no set price for dyno pulls and he's pulling numbers. One word for anyone who plans to go there, RIP OFF. This kind of business practices is what will shut them/him out of business. This explains your reluctantcy to give any price quote for dyno pulls when asked.
All it took was acouple people and some research to get these info. I'm sure they do well in their workmanship but this doesn't sound like a shop I would trust.
