Chicago Dealership Recommendations
I'm looking for a recommendation for a loyal, trustworthy, no b.s., TRUE Subaru dealership in the Chicago area that will be selling the WRX STi come Spring. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to driving my STi alongside all of you...

Dealer in Chicago land area
I bought my 03 WRX, from there. A personal friend of mine is friends with the Genral Sales Manager Dennis Knott, he cut me a great deal on my Impreza. But the most important aspect of this dealer that i found was that there was no bs with these guys. They had the invoice, and there holdback percentages laid out on the table. While I in the process of purchasing my Impreza the sales manager Dennis Knott and I were talking out the STI, he stated that he will be Getting 6 of them into his dealer and told me that they have a waiting list with only 2 names on it, and that they will sell the STI for what ever MSRP is. I have herd roomers that dealers are asking sevral thousand over sticker for one. If you are seirous and would like to be one of the first in the STI I would call them
and leave a deposit with Dennis to have him put your name on the list.. Thanks Brandon.....

Gerald was not the same experience for me. Tried to buy the wrx there and the staff was rude and they were not competitively priced compared to other chicagoland dealers. Living in Naperville I would have prefered to buy it there, but I ended up buying at Liberty Auto. They had significantly better prices and the salespeople were friendly/honest.

stay away from dan wolf pontiac/subaru!!!!
stay away from dan wolf pontiac/subaru!!!! i went in yesterday to maybe put money down on the STI and they paid no attention to my needs. i wanted to look at 02 wrx and they wanted me to sit down and talk numbers right away. i thought that was very impersonable. i was talking specs, he was talking down payment and how fast they were gonna go. i just left them. thats one stealership i won't go back to.

EMAIL Every dealership
I checked all the inventory in IL. and found the car I wanted. BLACK '03 WRX WAGON. I started emailing and calling each dealership. Some were dicks and wanted me to come in the store and some were cool and worked with me over the phone. I
I would say email then call. Try and wheel and deal over the phone/email first. Makes it easier then walking straight in off the street.
I would say this dealership offered me this and this dealership offered me that.
They really want you to buy from them and they would start dealing over the phone if they thought you would go to someone else.
My 3 cents.....
I purchaced mine from Evenston on Jan 23, 2003. They gave me a price of $3,033 under the MSRP price. I know they have better deals going on right now at Gerald Naperville, because they sent me an email. Gerald is offering $1,200 under the invoice price.
