Good luck with your bike Mike. Is the Cane Creek the only shock that would work on you bike?
Cane Creek is the only one I know of that makes a replacement in my size. Fox and others only have 2 or 3 sizes and none of them fit. My shock is 170mm in length (6.69") and the others only make 6.5" shocks. Besides, with the rebate, the Cane Creek is cheaper than a similar Fox.

I don't have much of a choice. I'll probably swap the pedals over for the day. Otherwise I'll be rockin the old school tech - cantilever brakes and 7-speed thumb shifters! I wonder if the battery in the cateye on the bike is still any good.

Oh, and, when did you want to hit up Mt Tam and ride out there? Some of the mtbr guys rode out there last weekend and the views of the bay were incredible. ME. WANT.

I'll leave it up to you guys.

I do want to organize a trip down to Rich's neck fo the woods and hit Rockville - but I'd rather do that on the Klein.

Larry @ Marelich is talking about riding on Sunday FHDL, but I know we've done that a few times lately...

You guys riding on Saturday or Sunday or Both?

What's Marelich? I'm ok to ride either day, really . If I want to ride both I can always get out on my road bike the day we don't ride. What are you guys feeling?

I should be fine for one day...more than likely Sunday.

Marelich = Friend of mine from mechanical contractor (egan knows him too).

Larry talked about riding his hard tail so I may have to bust out the S-Works But the small-block 8's may not be the call on tires

Either day is fine with me. Since the Bridgestone hasn't been on the trail in 8 years, who knows what kind of problems I might find when I tune her up tonight. I won't mandate a day and then have to back out, so I'll make either one work if the bike is functional.
