Sorry, it's my first week at a new job - I don't think I'll be skipping out to ride.

So here's the ride I did yesterday. Salmon Falls is a fun *** road to ride on. The 4-mile climb to Pilot Hill is long, but not that bad. Dropping down 49 from Cool to the Confluence is probably one of the most exciting, stupid and plain scary things I've ever done. Climbing Old Foresthill Road up from the confluence is a ***** - completely exposed and sooo hot. Climbing from the Foresthill bridge in to Auburn isn't that bad. I was worried about it but it was actually pretty easy.

This was the route we rode:

Elevation Profile. We did 4,983 ft of climbing:

Coming out of Cool on 49, my slowest speed was about 25mph in those 15mph turns but in general we were doing 30-ish and I was pushing 45 across the bridge at the confluence. Riding out of Auburn on Auburn/Folsom road was intense - 47mph on that first stretch. Crazy *** ride My legs are killin me today.

I'm going to be uber-busy with work on Thursday, so unfortunately I can't make it.

Anyone want to do Toad's this weekend?

Does that mean you won't be coming to the party Saturday night?

Nope. I'll be there . Not sure how late I'll stay because I don't know how early I need to be up the next morning so I'll play it by ear. Maybe I can take some DD responsibility off Aaron and get some people back this way when I go.

Okay, okay. I've just been wanting to try out that trail, and it's been so hot here lately in Sac. I can do a local ride if you're up for it. Maybe I'll give Cambria a call to see if they have a demo bike of the Remedy...

Dang, how often does Mikes have a Mega Sale? Seems like it just happened.

Going for a ride tomorrow morning in Auburn if you guys are interested. I hope to get out there by 8:30 to beat the heat.

I can ride again Sunday if you are free Lance.
