Olmstead is obviously out due to the recent weather.
How about that county park out in Auburn? That might be a nice change of pace one of these weekends and probably falls in your safe trail list.

You mean Hidden Falls Regional? Yeah we could hit there again. We'll give it some time to dry up though - I remember it being extremely muddy. I could probably do Salmon Falls too. The only bad part about Salmon Falls is that first part where it's rocky (and the PO), but past that it's not too bad.

So, uh, I just got this email:
Anybody want to do a trailbuilding class and some trail work in April ?
edit: this was in response to the thread I made about the 14 mile trail from Auburn to Weimar http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=380787
Hi Matt,
Just tracking you down after seeing a post on www.mtbr.com. We are the
IMBA Rep for the area and co-founders of the IMBA club, FATRAC. We are
working very closely with Placer County Parks on this new trail.
Specifically, we are gathering names of volunteers interested in working
on this trail. I have the map if you are interested in seeing it. It'd
be great to add you to our list of interested mountain bikers.
The IMBA Trail Care Crew is coming to town (Auburn) April 4-6. We'll be
doing a trail building class and field work.
Thanks for getting back to us!!!

roger wilco. I don't want to get started too late in the day as I have a paper to write this weekend. Earlier would be aok with me though, especially with how warm it's been. Honestly, if you guys wanted, I'd be happy with 8am start. Unless Rich shows, I think it's just going to be you and me since Randy is still gone.

I got my bike all fixed up last night. My brakes were dragging in the rear the last time we rode. The Juicy 5s have a problem with 'stick piston', where sometimes the adjustment piston won't retract properly and you'll be left with your brakes on. I took the pads out, reset the piston, realigned the calipers and whamo, my rear wheel spins free as the wind

You call it - let's do either 8 or 9. I'm partial to 8 but don't want to go too early if you don't want to. I miss our rides where I was home and doing other stuff by 1230 or 1
