Hi all. I'm back from my Tahoe trip. What a week! I rode 5 of the 7 days. Four of them with my wife. The day I rode by myself, I climbed up to 8,840 feet! That ride kicked my a$$!
I'll give more details and pictures later.

Here are a few pictures from Tahoe
On day one we headed up from the Big Medow parking lot in the direction toward Mr. Toads.
Here is one of me on Flume Trail. There were great views that I could see out of the corner of my eye, but the trail is so narrow in lots of places that if you looked you die.
Same spot but wider shot.

Randy!!!! Welcome back to town. You missed a great ride today with me and Don. Trying to get him ready for HITG in a couple weeks. Let me know if you want to go with. Looking at the 29th or 30th right now, and will invite a few riders to join (4 to 6 people more than likely).

well this has turned out to be an adventure.
this was the first bike i've built.
started off as a "hey I should convert the old HT into a SS to ride at lunch."
turned into "OMG i need this, and this, and this and..."
i finally finished it up.

WTB Dual Duty Wheels & WTB tires
180mm FSA V-Drive SS crank w/ 32T ring
FSA Mega-Exo BB
Crankbros Mallets
Surley Tuggnut
Forte SS conversion (spacers and 16T rear cog)
SRAM P1 SS chain

My wife and I are riding Olmstead today. It will be interesting to see what it's like now. I'm betting the dust is gone. We had a pretty good bit of rain up here.

I'm still planning on doing the FATRAC ride Sunday. Saturday I could be convinced to ride if it's not raining to hard.

About 2 hours ago. Your reply came in after we left. We did Olmstead because it's close and we had limited time today. There was lots less dust than before the rain, but parts of it still had some dust. I'll bet Foresthill is better because most of it doesn't get as much sun. It may have gotten more rain than Olmstead too. I know we did.
Depending on weather, we could stil do something Saturday.

Hey, dude, you should ask around on MTBR before you guys head up to HITG next week. This thread says there was a lot of snow up there today. The weather for next week looks pretty good so it will probably melt, but I'd still check
I'm going up on Saturday for all thoes interested in riding for once
Time: YTBD
Place: HITG
