if you're interested in freeing up some garage space let me know...then all i need is some 9spd shifters and i'm set.

prolly not...just in waits until my wife hits labor.

once she gets there i'll get more time, but being an hour+ out is not ideal if she goes into labor.

thanks though, that's AWESOME! i'll take it! go myself a 9-spd LX rear derailer that will make some sweet love to that new cassette.

oh, BTW...found this on ebay...
SPECIALIZED S - WORKS M5 EPIC FRAME FOX FLOAT BRAIN MED
0 bids and price only at ~$550
frame only though.
might make a good score if anyone is interested.

just don't be stupid and go bidding on it now...WAIT UNTIL THE END!

I hate being so tall. I always see kick *** deals on medium sized bikes but nothing for XL . Actually, there is an 05 Stumpy FS expert frame with rear shock on CL for $395 right now.

That would be a sweet frame to build up if I had components just laying around.

Good ride today dudes. I really wish we had more trails like salmon falls that had a lot of flat riding and relatively easy (grade-wise), technical hills. I love popping my bike up over a 6" tall rock step while climbing . My wrecks didn't turn out too bad. I've got some scrapes up and down both legs, a good chunk of skin missing from my right elbow and misc. cuts everywhere (arms, hands, back) from all the bushes we rode through.

Hopefully I don't get the PO - I tecnu'd like mad. I was flying down 50 and i-5 to get to Rite-Aid, get the new bottles and jam home. Then I had some pasta and a beer. It may be nap time soon

Except for the PO today's ride was really good. We had some serious speeds going. Everybody is getting better and better.

I took a shower before I unloaded anything. Hopefully I beat the PO.

I had forgotten how many technical rocky sections there were on Slamming Falls. It was fun and hard at the time. :sign0060:

Thanks for the ride data Matt.

I've got a nice little raspberry on my right hip and a bruised left knee. My right shoulder is a bit sore too and will probably be worse tomorrow morning. It always sucks to wreck within sight of the car.

Thanks for another good time.

Sorry I couldn't make the ride......wanted to see how Salmon Falls is.....plus I'm not as worried about PO being mostly immuned to the stuff and such.

But just found out that I somehow pulled the ligaments on the outside of my left knee I'm probably going to have to see a doctor and get some scans on it. It's been giving me some problems for about 2 weeks now. Yesterday when I rode the American River trail I was in so much pain that I couldn't even pedal on any incline. Instructor says I probably have a classic case of iliotibial band (IT band) syndrome. If so I may be out a while......I really hope not.

Since I have to spend all my time on study for finals these next two weeks, I'm going to try and rest it and hope it heals on its own, if its not feeling better by the 25th then I will have to get it checked out.

I really want to get out more......only way I,m going to get better and faster is with practice.

Cheers

EddyL.

I soaped up and rinsed off three times. I guess it worked since I'm clean too so far. Sometimes it takes up to three days for it to really show up. If we aren't itching by Tuesday, we should be good.

I'm still cool. Joe said he might have a little but it wasn't bad.

SWEET! Wish I could ride with you dudes next week I'll just have to get in my road riding this week to keep my miles up. I went out riding tonight to check out how my bike feels (I had the Specialized 3d fit done at Mikes the other day, got a new stem (mikes swapped me for my old one at no charge) and some new bars). Apparently, sitting on the boat all day really sapped me, and the winds didn't help. I went out 5 miles and gave up. It sucked.

Hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday will go better :\

So it's looking like I might be off work on Thursday this week (will know for sure tomorrow). If I am, is anyone interested in a mid-day ride up in Auburn? Probably around 11:30 (I get out of class at 10:15 or so). connector + fdlt maybe? :wiggle:
