Yeah, ride was good. Wish I'd felt better. When I got home I got my brakes all sorted. My rotor was a little out of true and the damn pistons had adjusted in way far so I reset them, realigned the calipers, straightened up the rotor a bit and now I'm golden :wiggle:
Here's the data from todays ride: http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/2651268

Thanks for the ride data Matt. Today's ride was a good one. Everybody rode really well and it was fun riding with you guys.
After I got home, my wife wanted to go for a ride just in the neighborhood. I set the Trance up so she could ride that. She hurt me on the climbs. My legs were crying. She is way faster on the Trance than on her old bike. It looks like I won't be selling the Trance after all.

Sunday being Mother's Day is probably not the day to plan a ride. Can you guys do Saturday? They are showing it cooling down some by then so it should be good riding weather.

It's finally done!
Mountain Cycle Rumble
Marz AM3
Bontrager takeoff rims, 2.5" Hookworms
BB5's
Salsa 42t on Truvativ cranks, Surly cog and singleator
Titec Hellbent post and Titec saddle
Race Face Diabolus stem, EA70 MonkeyBars, ODI grips
Now I get to find out how bad I'll get my *** kicked by a 42-19

i'm jealous! i think i'm gonna take all my parts off my old hardtail and get a new jump style frame like that to do a single speed for cruising on the AR trail at lunch.
what cogs did you go with F & R? (gear ratio?)

42-19 for now. I have a 32 for when I get back up and can play in the hills.
The Mountain Cycle frames are still on ebay, they're $500 frames that go for $150 and they're stout as hell. They make single-speed droputs and a full SS version as well.

sweet...i was looking at this cool copper anodized Jamis Komodo for $169 at JensonUSA.
but was wondering about frame size. i ride a large but on a smaller jump style bike i was thinking the 18.5" maybe a bit too large. i want something i can do some hits with and maybe even take over to the Folsom MTB park at lunch.

Nice bike, Aaron, you might want a 34 for some of the stuff up in the hills though
Mike, I can do Salmon Falls at 8 on Saturday. All the way out to the campground and back?

Confirmed!
Salmon Falls at 8AM.
I have to go to work at 5:30AM for a shutdown. I may be at the lot a few minutes late, but I'll definitely be there.
