Does anyone here know of some good local jobs for a Mechanical Engineer / Designer / CAD person? My current job DOESN'T appear to be in any IMMEDIATE danger, but I can see my office headed slowly downhill and would prefer to get out now rather than wait 6 months to a year when they start reducing the headcount.

There is some, but bring your own to sit in the pits
(re: chairs or seating) Thanks, Scott.

Good luck, Russ. If nothing pans out in the new job arena, you might even want to post in the parent BAIC forum for a greater number of views.

My dad is a retired mechanical engineer with the State but the current budget crisis probably indicates that applying there might not be a good long-term plan right now (but maybe in two or three years).

I'm horrible, I know -

Scott: I've got a peace offering for you the next time I see you

I'm really sorry that I won't make it out tomorrow - my gf surprised me with this overnight wine tasting thing she's been really wanting to do for like 3 years. Her friends came to town too - so I'm totally whipped this weekend

I won't make the meet tomorrow night either

I'll catch up with you guys next week.

Ummm... you really should have saved that part for a PM or email or strip-o-gram or something.

Seriously - I hope you guys don't hate me. I really feel bad about not coming to Thunder Hill with you guys tomorrow.

Not as much as i Scott.... You didn't happen to see me drive by your house at 850am yesterday Matt?

Took me 2:30hr to get out to thunderhill but it was well worth it. First event like that i've been to. Im not truly mad at scott... just have to remember to add 30minutes to everything he says

you realize i'll never let this rest....
