I can't remember enough about them to tell the difference, but 260s are rare. I would guess 280. Of course, does anyone know the year? That would settle it.

If it's a 260Z, it has to be from 1974. That model was a "one-year-wonder" for the U.S.A. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datsun_260Z#260Z

:sigh: You couldn't have just said, "Gee, thanks for finding out what year the 260Z was made", could you.

I meant the year of the car in question. I already knew the year of the 260Z.

O.K., I'm sorry, I misunderstood the meaning of what you said (there's been alot of that happening lately, and I'm getting help for that).

Anyhow, the last time I was at the Natomas meet I was talking to the owner and he said it was a 260Z. I suppose I should have just said that the first time around.

Not to be a jerk, but unless the Wiki article is wrong (it could happen), or he switched it from fuel injection to carbs (that could also be the case), it can't be a 280Z. The USDM 280Z came equipped with fuel injection exclusively. If you want to double-check the data, call your local Nissan parts department.

I might hit up Hodge's meet at 6 and then head up to Natomas around 7:30pm. What's Hodge's meet about anyway?? GCs??
