Nope, all-new chassis. Probably still not very good, but it's supposedly light years ahead of the Cavalier. And supposedly they started with the SS version in design and dumbed it down later for the mass-market versions.

i can see the difference, but if they were redesigning the whole car, why didn't they try to differentiate the cobalt more? it still looks like a rental car.
