The meet is never canceled. We've only moved locations a few times (for s2 bbqs or something - see first post for updates). I think we had one meet where only 3 people showed up

I'll be there this week.

Yesterday the wife and I were on our way to a multi Mustang/Falcon/T-Bird club picnic and I had an offer to buy my Mustang from a guy at Starbucks. I am going to give him a call this evening and see what happens, but my fingers are crossed for sure.

On the way down to Lodi we came up on a white WRX with an I-Club decal on it driven by none other than Wingless Wonder. I got next to him and laid on the horn for about 2 minutes before he finally looked over. I am sure he was wondering who the A-hole in the mustang was and was probebly even more dissapointed when he figured it out... Heh!

At the picnic, I noticed a 2000 Cobra R (only 300 were made) in the parking lot and asked around to find out who owned it.

It belongs to Ron Bramlett one of the owners of Mustangs Plus (http://www.mustangsplus.com). I asked him if I could take a closer look at it and he tossed me the keys and told me to take it for a spin. I was a little uneasy driving someone else's car that costs more than I can afford but at the same time I could not pass up the experience. That car really gets up and goes when you step on it, the brakes were just awesome and the exhaust note sounded better than any stereo ever could. at 80mph on the freeway in 6th gear the engine is at about 2,000rpm and smooth as can be. Drop it down a coulpe gears and the car jumps into the triple didgits with ease. I had the car up to 105 on the freeway before I knew it and it wanted to keep on going. I want one... Heh!

The Cobra R is the only Mustang I would buy. Isn't it the first with IRS?

Nope, the 99 Cobra was the first with IRS but either way I would rather have a solid axle on a Mustang because Ford has yet to figure out the whole IRS thing...

I have to check in to the motel in Fernley by 8:00pm, so I'll have to miss the meet.
