You asked what the difference was, not why mine was better.

As for why mine is better well because the little face on the puppy is cutier and has that "why do you want to eat me" look, were as the other puppy already looks dead.

good God woman, grow a sense of humor. Have you not read the previous 67 pages of this thread? Flaming each other is what this group of friends does. After you've had a full nights sleep go back and read all of this and you'll realize that you were posting MUCH harsher things about me than I was about you, AND they weren't funny. Seriously, you were going for the kill and I was going for laughs (okay, I was trying to make the point that the puppy-in-the-sandwich pic was uncalled-for waste of bandwidth). You commited a breach of internet etiquette and got pissed when I called you on it. Time and again I tried to steer things back towards the funny kind of sarcasm which is meant to make the other people reading these forums laugh rather than humiliate you, and each time you sunk further into the gutter in attempts to ridicule me. The only reason anybody posts anything on an internet message board is for others to read it. What changes is that person's reasons for wanting to be heard. Mine were to get a laugh out of the handful of people who now have a dozen emails alerting them to this little suare, but without actually hurting anybody. I was trying to be funny, to get some laughs from those people without being mean or petty. What were your reasons?

Sorry but you never tried to steer it back to something funny. You tried to call me on every post from the start. Two people thought it was a good laugh and that post was going nowhere (now will) I just followed suit with the guy who posted a useless pic of a freaking dog. You asked what the difference was and I told you and you got upset. So you started on more ****. Sorry wasn’t going to sit there and let you act like a e-thug, even though I now see I should have.

Ohwell, I have never meant to come here to cause trouble. It upset me the other day when I thought I posted something that had to be edited by a moderator. I would never want to cross that line, just not the person I am. I edited my posts because once again I am not here to upset anyone, especially people I see and hang out with and people Scott are friends with.

Sorry Kevin for not having proper internet "etiquette". I am sorry for attacking you if you feel I have, I never meant to, if anything I thought you would have a sense of humor about it.

*sigh*

You look, but do not see. You listen, but do not hear. You've been led to water but do not drink.

Not funny? I guarantee you that the "other Legacy" reference will be the funniest thing that 5 or 6 people we both know will read today. More importantly, it wasn't a personal attack. The only real issue I have with anything you posted tonight was the fact you tried to be hurtful rather just funny.

As for the moderator editing your post, it was explained to you that your portion of the post was unchanged. Only the quote from the other person was removed. You had done nothing wrong in that instance. You really didn't do anything wrong tonight either, other than go a little overboard with your sarcasm. All I did was make fun of someone on the internet. It was never attacking Jen, the real person, I was making fun of you on the internet. You were attempting to ridicule me in front of my friends (fortunately you failed. One more round and I know you would have been reduced to "yer momma" jokes. ). So, if you have issues with internet sarcasm and making fun of people, you should re-read your posts in this thread from the beginning and re-evaluate that.

I'm sorry I made you feel bad, Jen. I sent you a PM about it the other day but apparently you never read it. The edit in question had nothing to do with what you posted. In fact, it's because you replied in such a serious and courteous manner that I edited your quoted section and a post from another member.

The internet is not a substitute for real life, people. It doesn't convey the complete mindset or feelings of people. It's too easy to let something slip and then have it interpreted in a way not intended. We can't see the person's eyes or facial expressions, or hear their tone of voice to know exactly what they mean to say. Sure, if we have misgivings we can come back and edit what we posted but like words spoken in real life, it's hard to take it back once it's out of the bag and read by others.

I've removed that other thread from public view. It should never have gone that far. I hope that the next time we all meet up, we can talk about it and put closure on it, instead of just pretending it didn't happen.
