Car Info: A limousine with a chauffer
well, it's looking real good. this mornings interview was to be my final, and it was going to be with a two person panel (they were gonna tag team me ), but there are some problems going on so the tech guy didn't make it.
The manager I DID interview with said that the other person just wants to go over with me the type of work they'll hope to see from me, and some of their other expectations of me in this position (when I get it). So it seems:
1. They're expecting me to get the position
2. This job is a lot more exchange work than I thought, which is still cool, but it's like 75% email support and 25% sysadmin type work.
I should get the official "offer" from recruiting next week. Only thing that sucks is that no raise is in store - apparently this is a lateral move.
BUT, if I don't get the job, I lose mine, so I guess you could say that I'm going to be making 100% more money if I get this job than I would if I didn't get this job.
And review time (June) is right around the corner, so maybe I'll pick up a couple % raise then . But it looks like I'm in, which rocks. I'm really excited about not losing the house or my car, and not living on the streets.
