.......sigh. I'm seeing a bunch of crap flying from all sides, I'm not giving points, I'm asking you all to drop it, please.
Calling LEO's derogatory names is gonna fan flames, period. This is a very, very heavily biased crowd with a lot of friends/family members in law enforcement. Know your audience - this isn't a group that's going to respond well to slurs of any kind. Repeating them isn't going to be received any better than a racial epithet, and I don't want to see it going forward, from anyone. Please - this isn't some import streetrace forum where everyone has to talk a big game, we're adults here.
Phil - you respond on the forums in a pretty inflammatory way, do a lot of blustering about meeting in person (which is silly, none of us are 12, and noone is going to brawl in a parking lot over words on the intarwebs), and it's doing you no favors. You seem chill in person. Take a breath, step away when something hits you the wrong way, and a lot of the drama will drop.
Everyone else - quit feeding it. I don't care how entertaining it might be, it lowers the quality of the forum, and we're not a bunch of children (grown-*** men and women in toy cars, maybe ). I do NOT want a return to the old "breach the ramparts for acceptance" in SRIC - new people see this stuff going back and forth and it's bad for everyone. This isn't Lord of the Flies.
I shouldn't have to give points or ban people - I'm appealing to the people I see every week, and the ones who maybe don't get out as much, to take the high road - all of you. If you see something inflammatory, ignore it as a troll and let it go. Feeding repeats the cycle.
Thanks
