To all that showed up, I had a great time. THanks for making a jackass VW owner feel wlecome. Hopefully this becomes a more regular meet.

A word of advice though. A resturaunt parking lot ona busy Saturday night might not be the best spot. Luckily not many people showed, cause there wasn't much parking.

yea it was fun. we should deffinatly do it in 2-3 weeks. lets move it to a differnt place tho, very crouded. any idea for a place to meet? target ? that seemed really crouded too tho. an office building parking lot would be nice. next time lets get more people to go, hopefulley each time will get bigger and bigger.

I think we should move from Walnut Creek. there really arent any big parking lots. Maybe SunValley Mall? I don't know, then we might have to worry about security hasslin us.

Stupid me went to the Fuddruckers at the Willows shopping center instead of the WC one. After 20 minutes I figured out that I was at the wrong one and drove to WC but everybody was leaving as I pulled in.

I'm not sure about Sunvalley Mall security. We did have a few small meets at the Krispy Kreme in the Willows Shopping center (across the freeway from Sunvalley) and security was pretty cool there. There isn't any parking in the front side of the shopping center (near the Claim Jumpers, Tony Romas and Fuddruckers) but there is usually plenty near the Cost Plus/Trader Joes side of the center.

I should be able to make it in two weeks. Just post where. Maybe my brain will be working better in two weeks.

If you just want a parking lot

I think that there is a large parking lot at 1200 Concord Blvd that looks really slow in the eves, at least the corner of the parking lot that boarders Concord Av and John Glenn Drive - I once locked my keys in my car and was there for 4 hours

Nobody came by at all, not even AAA.

Usually there were low turnouts (>10) so I stopped posting. We didn't have any problems meeting there. There were a few car groups that were banned because they acted like _ssholes but security said we were okay as long as we kept a low profile. I think one of the reasons for the low turnout was that we were doing it weeknights and it conflicted with people's class schedules or other meets.

We were doing drives after the meets around local roads. We did drives to Pittsburg and Pinole using the backroads.

We could try to do the next meet there. There are restaurants and the KK there so if peeps get hungry, there's a variety of places to choose from.

I go to the Berkeley meets on Thurs night. I usually end up driving the mountain roads and dropping into the valley behind the Oakland hills. I would be interested in meeting up with you guys on some of those backroads that you mention. Maybe for your next meet, if people are interested, I could gather a group of guys from the Berkeley area and we could join forces. Going to be gone though for the weekend of the 8th, and 16th..ralley school in Buttonwillow.
