wow chill pal, I did mean it as a challenge or to be a dick. Just that within the last three pages of this thread people have brought up "how fast" cars were. Call it what you want, but Im going to stick with "bench racing".

its funny... the Evo's computer that takes care of the active yaw control is more advanced than all of the computers on the Mr2 combined...

sorry pal but I own a evo 8 and not only does it not have yaw control but it doesnt have any form of driving aids.
I never said I was faster then anyone, or compared my car to anyone elses. The mr2 is a fine car and fully capable. My only point was that maybe instead of people comparing whos cars are faster that we should get some parking lot racers out to the track and not worry about whos car is the fastest in a parking lot.

no driving aids? you dont have power assisted steering or ABS?
well, i wasnt saying any car is faster than any other... but a 2.0L turbo car is going to be faster than a 1.6L NA car in a straight line (unless that 1.6L NA is fuel with Liquid Schwartz). turns though. that can only be proven with actual driving.

yeah power steering and brakes abs and all that jive. no yaw, traction stability control etc though.
as far as corners go, my car does just fine. last time out at thill the car went 2:05 over the top with 3 year old crap r comps and about 30whp less then Im running now. Granted I wasnt driving but a bench race is a bench race regardless.

We do NOT talk about who's car is faster in a straightline, that was just one person on this board, as you can read his post again, it was a low turn out night for us as a club, and his words DO NOT reflect the views of the regulars at this meet nor this club.
Everyone else: just drop the whole fast car crap and move on, it's getting off topic.
So, with that all cleared up, I would welcome any non subaru owners to hang out with us. We've been there for over 5 years now, nearly every tuesday and we don't care what anyone drives, we just don't like douches.
With that, I will be there late next tuesday since I have a SCCA committee meeting that night.
