I wasn't able to make it last week since the engine was out, but a new one is in it's place now though. 7.7:1 compression without a turbo really isn't too bad. Yes, that's a long story about that one. I may make it tonight, kinda sick of driving though since I went to Santa Cruz yesterday an S. SF today for work.

i went to my first meet this week. It was a cool experience. There were some nice rides there. I was mostly just a spectator. Will try to get out there again though.

Hehe... no stock subaru has that kind of compression. It's a rough calculation based on an EJ22T with EJ25 SOHC heads and the EJ25 head gasket. It'll be getting a turbo soon, but some of the parts I bought we're milled and welded incorrectly. Fricken Rev-Lab are out for three weeks and the injector adapters are milled out of spec

It's on the "other" site...

It's really not a secret anymore Axis uses the blocks for 2.4L strokers (they also destroke 2.5's with sleeves) and I-speed is using the block for up to 2.6 strokers. I plan on going with the strokers in the future, but I'm phasing my installs and I do all the tear downs, so it doesn't cost me extra $$ There's no machine shop that does it you can buy the block from subaru. It's the block from the older legacy turbo's and you can buy them new.
The injector adapters are sold by a shop called Rev-Lab out of canada. They're great if they were milled right. It means that I could use all the aftermarket injectors for the WRX. PE650's and a 16G make me smile.
