I ALWAYS make sure the engine is up to temperature before getting on the throttle and recommend you do the same. It's a good idea with any engine, but espically important with ours.
Yup - good info. I have always warmed up my cars, let it idle in neutral to circulate oil in the trans, never floor it till it's all warmed up, etc. I just read a thing in Road & Track that says it's a good idea to warm up your car before driving. A good habit is to start your car when you first get in, then put on your seatbelt, change CD, whatever - so it becomes your habit to warm the car up.

Thanks for the welcome people. My car is an Aspen White WRX with the smaller wing. Headed out today to buy some acces. from pep boys. Just got my 3A racing muffler and APC tails installed along with the under-glo kit....yeah fuggin right. No, but I did buy some care care products. I couldn't find the scotchguard interior protectant spray though. You guys know where I can find it? Also for the break in part, I've been following the overboost article and I'm at about 500 miles right now. I wanted to buy a case of oil but they didn't have the brand and weight i needed. Also, whats a good oil filter to use? Is it tough changing the oil myself? I'd rather do it than the dealers honestly...Thanks again people!! See you on the road. Oh yeah, anyone here drive a White Sti w/gold rims on Capitol ave. at around 12pm today? You were blaring Linkin Park so maybe that's why you didn't hear me say whatup.

NOOOOOO, need less Aspen Whites

On another note: use the oem filters, they are the best. Get them at subaruparts.com
I get my oil at Walmart, it's like 2.50 a quart or something like that for Castrol GTX 5w-30. It's pretty simple to change the oil yourself, I can help you out if you don't know how.

White STi w/ gold rims on Capitol.... did it have a wing?

<---- White STi w/ silvers w/o wing and was blaring Linkin Park / Jay-Z... at around 1ish.

Thanks a bunch!! Yes, the STi did have a wing and it got onto 680 south i think from Capitol Ave. It came out from the Plaza w/ an Albertsons over by Tully and Capitol and we went down towards 680 from there...
