I been doing this run for the last 23 years.. There's always been fast cars up there, though these days it's nice to see us Suby's up there along with the usual Honda's and Evo's.. I see em' all at the crossroads too... We'll just try not to be a total bullet train.
As scary as it may be but my dad used to go up there in the late 60's and early 70's in his Mini Cooper S... That's how I caught wind of the place when I was 16 when he took me there in it, before I rolled down the hill with it at 17 (ty for the cage dad).

cool yeah i bet you have cool stories. cant wait to hear them.

the only problem is all teh drift0rs that have easy access to cars that will drift for $2000 so theres more of them than there were years ago, so more accidents and head on collisions. i wish we had licenses to qualify us as responsible drivers, but when the cops see our cars they could give a isht.

we can try alices, but i hardly see parking anytime i go by on nice days, at least this will be fun rain or shine.

There's parking across the street... I know what you mean by the drifters though, and I understand that concern but they wont be up on the weekends with all the bicyclists. Maybe at night, but we're going during the early afternoon. Sorry not trying to start an argument or anything just trying to figure something for a good run or at least try to help out with a suggestion. Oh, and Pescadero Beach has a free parking lot(other lots are usually $6). Good for pics.

haha im not afraid of being in an accident with them (well i am), im just saying the cops see these accidents and dont know the difference between our cars and rice cars/drivers. ive seen 3 accidents the past year, too bad one was a WRX on saratoga 9

a girl called me a ricer last night, so i showed her some rally videos compared to rice videos...meh...she didnt get it.

anytime is cool (at this point)

Hey guys, Jen and I went driving up there yesterday.. Well, lotta cops Palo Alto side and and San Mateo side.. I think Sunday wouldn't be a good day. Towards the end of the day I saw 3 drifters. We didn't get hassled or anything, they were mostly just parked and saw a few chasing crotch rockets.
With that aside, I think we should do the drive on a Saturday during late morning or early afternoon...

i dont think any weekend is ever good. I did 9 sunday, no cops, only because in BC there was a biker accident with like 4 CHP and a few sheriff cars directing traffic and helping the injured. The life flight helicopter was waiting at an open field before BC.

so if that didnt happen, im sure the CHP and sheriffs would have nothing to do except hide behind blind corners and get us for wreckless driving a 25 mph corner at 45 mph in a 45 mph speed limit. Not to mention they are gonna be way more strict since the biker is seriously injured or dead for all we know.

technically sunday isnt the weekend to the amount of cops on duty, especialy if its later in the day as its getting dark (4-8) that way we could watch the sunset which would be a bonus

When i had burglury issues in my neighborhood a few years back, we called the SC county sheriff on a sunday evening and they said there were only 3 sheriffs on patrol IN ALL SC COUNTY!

Thumbs up

I'm glad to see the South Bay trying to organize meets too. I'm trying to get the East Bay going....maybe a run out Mines to Mt. Hammy.

https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...5&page=1&pp=20

The North Bay guys are pretty regular, about once every 6 weeks. It's just a long way to go for a drive. I'd love to get some South Bay/East Bay/Peninsula rides planned. The 35/9 one sounds awesome...any possible dates yet?

Kelly :-)
