i'm planning on doing a day trip, most likely, to sugar bowl to take a few co-workers to get their learn on! the weekend of the 4th & 5th is the "Learn More on the North Shore" beginner special weekend. basically, all the snow n00bs get a helluva deal. $20 gets 'em board or ski rental pkg, beginner lesson & beginner lift ticket at almost all the resorts in north lake tahoe. i'll try to find the link w/ that info. i posted this info on a thread somewhere here a couple weeks back.

since you've got your own gear & are practically a pro ya might wanna hit up kirkwood, sierra or heavenly...especially if the cabin is actually in or closer to south lake tahoe. or if ya can't avoid the north tahoe resorts, just stay away fr the beginner areas. ya know how we like to fall every 5.9 seconds, traverse back-n-forth across the entire run, sit down at either a "blind" corner or a "blind" slope grade-change, etc.

i prefer weekday trips, but i promised folks @wk that i'd set up a trip and wanna to keep the costs down for 'em. it'll be all good though. i'm just happy to get 'em to try it out & have a chill day away fr work.

Possible...need to dig out my ski's, get em waxed and sharpened, and figure out if my boots still fit, but assuming all is go, I might just. Hell, this saturdays my birthday, I deserve to hit the slopes!

but, if the 2 rookies don't want lessons & have access to gear(they've both been at least once already) we may hit up kirkwood instead.

in either case, i'm looking to meet up w/ any other high int./adv. boarders/skiers for a fun & chill day on the slopes! who's down?!?
