Oh please forgive me sire! You've put me in my place. Can you forgive me? So what? Oh Mr. VIP Member wrote the book on bug eyes which have no relevance to THIS thread. So Mr. VIP Member, back on topic and at least give a reason as to why what i said was wrong other than "STFU Noob hahah1!!!!!1!!Eleven!11!!One Hundred Eleven!!! I CAN COUNT!!!"
At any rate, police presence IS a legitimate concern for any sort of car club (except for maybe domestics heh). That little attitude of "If you don't like it, don't show up" isn't exactly conducive to more members showing up for the meet and is, as such, counterproductive to the purpose of this thread.
Instead of doing the S.F. meet a disservice by essentially calling everyone voicing a legitimate concern a bunch of pussies, why not just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride if you're so confident about it. Let others sort out whether they want to come or not based on how they feel about the potential of police presence.
I guarantee you, the lion's share of i-Club cruises HAVE attracted police attention: at best, the cops have just followed silently; at worst, a bunch of people got sent to the state ref (see the Wingstop meet from last week).
If you have any experience in organizing fun and safe cruises, you'd know the best way to plan routes is offline, then spread the route via private means. Not only does this avoid hassle with cops, it avoids potential hassle with "other car clubs" and other unsavory types. Haven't you ever wondered why the SF/DC region doesn't have regular meets anymore? It's because too many unfavorably types began showing up and ruining it for everybody else. It's one thing to tell your own people to stay in line, and something completely different to try to rein in party crashers. If a regular meet could be ruined in such a manner, how much worse can a cruise be affected?!
That gung ho attitude of yours is not necessarily a bad thing, but I'd think twice if I were you about what you're doing. Successful cruises and fun meets are not easy task; you can ask any one of us i-Clubbers who have had experience with these things.
That being said, I wish you all the best of luck and I will be with you all in spirit while I am 2,500 miles away.
P.S. Since when did i-Club revert back to the pre-split days? >_<

You know it doesn't come out unless it's for a good reason!
